Supervision

Please note that we take responsibility for supervising children from 8:15 am in the morning until the bus arrives (approx. 3:15 pm) in the afternoon. Children at school outside of those hours will not be supervised and we do not take any responsibility for them. We do, however, have Outside School Care facilities, which can be utilised. For security purposes all children arriving prior to 8:10 a.m. will automatically be sent to Outside School Hours Care. A fee is payable.

Children waiting to be collected by parents after school will wait in the designated area. This area is supervised by a teacher every day until 3.20 pm. If a child remains uncollected at this time, they will be brought to the school office and parents will be notified.  The school office closes at 3.30pm. This policy is to prevent children waiting unsupervised and quite often teaching staff have left the premises by this time.

Late Arrivals

Children arriving late to school should be brought to the school office. Parents will be required to come to the office to sign them in. This ensures that we can offer the best supervision within our Workplace Health and Safety requirements. The secretary will then arrange for the child to move to class with a late slip.

Leaving the School Grounds

Children are not permitted to leave the school grounds during school hours without written permission. Parents wishing to pick up their children early need to sign their child out and then collect them from the classroom.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, parents must sign in when they enter the site using the QR Code. Access to the school site remains limited.

Access to Students

Should you require access to your children during school hours, it is policy that all enquires are made to the Principal through the secretary. The register is on the front counter of the office and should be signed on arriving and leaving the school building.

No parent is to go to classrooms without registering.

This procedure is necessary to ensure the safety of all students. The Principal is to be kept informed about custody arrangements if this applies to your family, and supplied with all relevant court papers. Unless we have these copies we must give both parents equal access rights.
