What a busy finish to term it has been. Following on from our Colour Blast last week, our Year 3, 4 & 5 students played in the Northside Cluster Gala Day. Whilst some played Football and Basketball at St Eugene's, the rest gave League Tag a go at Burpengary Jets. From all accounts, it was a very successful day especially for our Year 3 soccer teams who beat most of the Year 5 competition on the day.

Also this week, we sent 2 netball teams to the Sunshine Coast Lightning Cup. Quite the show was put on with Lightning players on hand to sign autographs, as well as a "Strikezone" area for students to chill out and have some fun with a variety of activities. On the court we showed some skill and great fighting spirit. Our girls team came 2nd in their division to finish 13th out of 32 teams. Special mention to Taya who received my Most Improved Award and Kailee receiving the Coaches Award for great leadership both on and off the court throughout the day. Our boys have not had a lot of netball experience but they learnt quickly and showed resilience and ground out some great wins that made me incredibly proud. My Most Consistent Award went to Hunter  and my Coaches Award went to Tannah for his versatility in switching from defence to shooting and excelling in both.

Good luck to our Origin Energy Netball team who will play in Bundaberg in the middle weekend of the holidays. We know you will make us proud!
